Founded in 1961, Sandy Spring Friends School is a progressive, coed, academically-rigorous day and boarding school serving approximately 600 students from age three through 12th grade. The campus is located on 140 acres in the historic Sandy Spring area of Montgomery County, Maryland, and the School is approved by the Maryland State Board of Education and accredited by the Association of Independent Maryland Schools.

Coach, Upper and Middle School

Sandy Spring Friends School is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic coaches. Candidates should possess appropriate coaching experience, and experience with children ages 12 - 14 is preferred, strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to the school’s mission of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and social justice. Coaches need to be available from 2:30 - 4:00 pm for practices 4 days a week. Game times are generally between 4:00 and 6:30, but coaches need to be present from 2:30 pm for supervision on game days. This position is paid a stipend.
